• Your new solar system is protected with a 10 year all-inclusive warranty versus the standard state mandated 5 year warranty. If any equipment fails during this term, Open Sky will repair the issue without any cost to you.
• Your solar array will be built to last because installing a solar energy system on your home is a large and long-term investment. All electrical wiring will be run in metal conduit and enclosures. We do not use plastic because of the tendency to become brittle when exposed to sunlight. All mounting and racking components are constructed of extremely durable stainless steel or aluminum. Other products can rust and corrode in a few years, causing your array to become structurally and electrically unsafe.
• Careful selection of high quality solar modules and electrical equipment may cost more upfront, but the long-term benefits will be realized as the system ages without problems and continues to produce electricity for many years. Although using inferior modules and other products will cost less in the near term, they pose the risk of early failure and possible electrical fire potential.
• Because we are an owner operated company, we don't rely on subcontractors to complete our jobs. You will be working with Open Sky throughout the entire process, not a random install crew whom you may never see again after the installation. Working on our own projects allows us to maintain a high level of quality control with your system.
• We do not use outside sales contractors who may be more interested in selling a higher priced job instead of one that fits your needs and budget. Most commissioned based sales people are not qualified or experienced enough to properly size and specify a system for your home. They are sales experts not solar experts. Instead, you will work directly with the company owners who will completely design and engineer the most effective system to custom fit your home.
• A monitoring system with prompt servicing will be included with your package. Monitoring is critical to tracking your system performance and troubleshooting any problems that may arise. Your system can be accessed through an internet connection 24/7. Our technicians will be notified via email if your system requires servicing. This early alert system allows problems to be rectified before they become costly. You can also create production reports and track the environmental benefits with a few clicks of the mouse.
